From March 28th to 29th 2019, the members of the Frankfurt-Groningen Millets Network meet in Groningen (Netherlands) for their workshop "Contested millets in in Africa and Asia: past and present". Together with invited scholars of anthropology, archaeology, botany, history and linguistics they deepen their discussions of marginalisation processes of millet and their sociocultural meanings from prehistory to present.
