Kelemework Tafere Reda is an academic staff and researcher at Mekelle University, Ethiopia. Since February 2022, he has joined the Frobenius Institute, Goethe University Frankfurt within the framework of the project titled, Saving and Being Safe Away from Home, with a support from Gerda Henkel Foundation and the Scholar Rescue Fund (IIE-SRF). His research topic is: The Dynamics of Trust in Informal Money Transfer and Savings among Ethiopian migrants in the Middle East. His previous research interests include, conflict and conflict resolution, migration, sustainable development and the socio-cultural foundations of health. He has also been working in collaborative research projects based in Denmark and the UK.
