The aim of the initiative is to provide early career researchers with a platform for interdiscipli-nary exchange, with a focus on contemporary research on the cultural, social, economic and historical contexts of Ethiopia - including the wider geographical area of the Horn of Africa. The Ethiopian Studies Initiative thus builds on a rich research tradition of various institutions in the Rhine-Main area, including in particular the Frobenius Institute.
The GRADE Initiative offers members and interested parties the opportunity to present their research and promote discussion and exchange. In addition, regular seminars, workshops and conferences are organized to promote the exchange of ideas and research results. Cooperati-ons with Ethiopian institutions are also initiated to address specific research questions and contribute to the broad academic and civil society discourse on Ethiopian studies.
For more information, please visit the website of the GRADE Initiative for Ethiopian Studies. If you are interested in participating, please feel free to contact the initiators at any time.
