Research Partner receives Arnold Rubin Award
Together with José da Silva Horta and Carlos Almeida from the Faculty of Letters, University of Lisbon, our long standing research partner and former Frobenius fellow Peter A. Mark (Wesleyan University) won the Arnold Rubin Award for their book African Ivories in the Atlantic World, 1400-1900/Marfins Africanos no Mundo Atlântico, 1400-1900 in the category of the best multi-authored work in the field of African art.
Translation prize for our award winner Valerie Hänsch
Valerie Hänsch, winner of the 2017 Frobenius Prize for the Promotion of Young Researchers, has received another prize for the work we honoured with the title ‘Vertreibung und Widerstand im sudanesischen Niltal: Ein Staudammprojekt und der Versuch zu bleiben’.
